While "The Golden Fountain" is a wonderfully informative book on the incredible effects of Urine Therapy, I would direct interested readers to a book entitled "Your Own Perfect Medicine" by Martha M. Christy. The author provides not only many case histories but actual Research Evidence and Case Studies from Medical Practitioners the world over, including the U.S. There are also wonderful chapters on the adverse affects of Western Medicine (with valid scientific medical research)and the home use of Urine Therapy. If you're interested at all in finding out more about Urine Therapy, I highly recommend this book. The testimonial of the authors' medical recovery is worth the price of the book alone.

This is an indispensable book for anyone interested in Urine Therapy. It is the standard work on this subject. I have been a practitioner of Urine Therapy for over 10 years, and this was my bible for getting started.

It covers every aspect of the therapy and deals with all the concerns that a modern reader would have with using their own urine.

This appears at first sight a radical concept. However when one looks at the biological facts behind urine, its use as an alternative therapy seems less crazy. The fact that many pharmaceuticals and medical treatments don't always work or have awful side affects, combined with their expense, make cheap or free alternative treatment such as this very attractive and essential if there are no alternatives available.

This book contains large number historical references of usage and recommendations, many different practical uses as well as many personal testimonials. There are a few recommendations and examples of usage from recent scientific/medical practitioners from the 20th century, however I would have liked to have seen more results of scientific studies from the 20th/21st centuries, this would have added more weight to the book. The concept of a healing crisis was very interesting. As I said there is a large number of examples of historical uses, recommendations and testimonials which are interesting, but unfortunately these mean little without evidence of more modern scientific proof. If people are to try these techniques they obviously need a lot of scientific assurance, given their contentious nature.

I have given the book 4 stars, as I think it does contain useful information and Van Der Kroon is very passionate and knowledgeable about this subject, however I would have liked more scientific studies and I found some of the photos make the book seem dated.

An important book to have in your medical possibility bookshelf, along with Raymond Dextreit's our earth our cure (clay and naturopathic healing - diet and medicinal plants). Susun Weed and Jane Plant and Victoria Bouchenko and the I am grateful recipe book from Café Gratitude, Healing with wholefoods by Paul Pitchford. Stephen Buhner.

Good guide to drinking your own piss. Doesn't dwell too much on boring science or so called "medicine". Give me pseudo science and a warm glass of my own piss any day

The human body excretes urine, feces and perspiration as waste, besides of course respiration excrement. Why would anyone think that re-ingesting your own waste products would be beneficial to your system? Radical concept..kudos for that...but not too rational.
