Nothing I need to add to this item . It is truly amazing. If you are willing to learn digital painting or 3d this needs to be on your list of books to buy. New techniques and processes you can improve or learn. Nothing better than learn with other artists strategies or hints to create art.
The delivery was impeccable, nicely wrapped. I was sure the local postman did throw the book to the floor just to deliver it, nothing to do with amazon service, and didnt get any scratch on the cover of the book. That is how it is nicely wrapped.
5 stars for amazon and book.

Excellent book thats worth every penny. This is more of a gallery of art work rather than a how to book. It does contain some insight on how certain aspects of each image was created but does not go to deep into the process.

Found it a bit generic, the explanations are not very deep, or very specific. Beautiful Images and very inspirational still.

Another year, another volume of Digital Art Masters. I can see this series continue indefinitely.

Digital Art Masters Volume 7 features 50 artists in this 288-page paperback. Each features a project and comes with insightful commentary into the creation process. The categories are Sci-Fi, Scene, Fantasy, Character and Cartoon. The techniques taught are mainly on digital painting and 3D modeling. Software used are Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox and others.

It's difficult to pick out any outstanding pieces because they all fantastic. The variety is great. Gilles Beloeil talks about the marketplace he created for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Borislav Kechashki explains how he creates his armor bear with 2D and 3D techniques, and many artists talking about their own way of creating character art.

It's an inspiring and insightful collection. Highly recommended to any digital artist.

(There are more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

The Digital Art Masters series has grown into an amazing collection of some of the best work from artists worldwide.

Volume 7, as previous volumes, crams as much art into it as possible. It is divided into categories, such as characters, fantasy, sci-fi, cartoon, so it manages to satisfy anyone's cravings for eye candy.

Were this book simply a gallery of amazing works, it would already be a joy to browse through. But Digital Art Masters is about more than that, so the showcased artists talk about their work and take the reader through the whole process of creation. You can quickly see the software every artist used on their image, so you know if you want to dive into the article and learn a trick or two about their workflow. More often than not, they have to deal with problems similar to ones you might encounter as an artist, and it is of priceless importance to get a look at how they tackled the obstacles.

5 stars, and can't wait for Digital Art Masters 8.

Latest Digital Art Masters release proves that's not just a book packed with 2D and 3D masterpieces. Work flows and pipelines, step by step Work in Progress shots, compositions and break downs explained in detail are what makes this release best of the collection. It's one thing to dissect a finished artwork, but it goes far beyond that point and tells a story with every astonishing artwork. In the end you'll spend more time reading and trying to connect context with the artwork, than just looking at the colour filled pages of art.
