Difficult to follow as a recipe book ........
on 16 October 2010
I would say this is more a novel about curry than a curry recipe book. Its all a bit long-winded in my opinion and if you choose to make one thing, its necessary to write out instructions for yourself on a notepad, as the book keeps referring you back to previous pages for bits of information, far too difficult to tackle once you get in the kitchen. Its also quite confusing as on one page it gives the ingredients for a recipe and then when you turn the page to continue, it gives different ingredients again. ....... (for the same recipe).
Having said that, there are some very good tips in the book and the resulting curry is excellent, just that it takes a very long while to get there initially but maybe with experience of the methods it will get easier. I was a bit disappointed in the book to be honest as I heard the author being interviewed on Radio Devon and it sounded a wonderful book.
