Extremely good well written publication, from a man that was actually deeply involved with the Tube manufacturing industry and products such as the Reynolds Feather-bed frame for Norton, produced from the McCandless original. Peppered with big names in the Motorcycle world of sport and production, Ken's book puts right some age-old Motorcycle Forum arguments! He writes about a time when "We" were up their in manufacturing research development and producing products to be proud of. Sadly an ethos and time almost gone forever! The "TT" still exists thankfully! But how many truly British Engineering Company's still exist?
A kinder time, fading rapidly away, demolished by new Housing estates and ruthless investment capital allowing developments elsewhere Globally for quick short-term individual gains over the well-being of the Home Nation. Sadly Britain's and its "Future", doesn't quite seem to be the more dynamic and optimistic place Ken stood in just after WW2
