Read on the beach in Gran Canaria, a very good read, much enjoyed. Originally written in 2008 when Summerbee was 65. The edition read had three new chapters added covering the take over by Sheikh Mansour prior to the club winning the Premiership. Few players can boast that their father and son were both professional footballers. Raised in Cheltenham and known as Tich as a child, he became part of Bert's (Head) Babes at Swindon that won promotion from the Third Division in 1962-63. Two years later he became Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison's first signing at Manchester City where he won trophies, became an England international and George Best's friend. He later appeared in the film Escape to Victory and today is ambassador to the club. A very good insight into professional football. Anyone who loved football 50 years ago, follow City or has read the Maine Man (Tony Book) or Big Mal (Malcolm Allison) will certainly enjoy this read.

Buzzer is still in good form meeting and greeting at the Etihad. When I get round to reading his book I may be able to comment upon it.

A very informative read, very interesting and felt you knew the character by the time you'd finished the book.

Mike Summerbee, Everthing I expected. Relived some of the good old days, when football was a sport and a great day out.
