There is a lot of theory behind the idea of the TSA, without many questions. I would recommend another book, with more example questions. After all, practice is perfect!

This book explores the art of critical thinking and the logic of solving problems. It discusses how to take the most logical approach every time. Think You Can Think?: Cracking the Thinking Skills Assessment is a practical guide to cracking the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) admissions test. This book gives students the opportunity to pit their logical wits against challenging critical thinking questions and complex exercises. The book includes three mock tests that replicate the real thing - with a separate answer section and explaination, enabling students to see the different methods of finding answers as well as understanding the theory and logic behind the questions. Written by a team of Oxbridge graduates this book prepares you with the skills and expertise required for a logical, enquiring mind, both in the heat of the examination room and in everyday life.

I am PhD qualified highly experinced tutor based in Oxford. Most of my students find this book very handy for the TSA entrance. If you need FREE advice, explaination of a particular question, do not hesitate to contact me at info@aonetuition.co.uk. I wish you good luck!!!

The book was very useful however a selection of pages were damaged, I suspect from an error in the printing of the book. However, it was still readable.

The explanations behind how to tackle the types of questions are good. However, what makes this really exceptional is how for each practice test it includes a commentary for each answer explaining in length why that answer is wrong or right.

Also has some in depth analysis on essays including model answers.

Would recommend this over any other book for the TSA

I found it extremely useful as a tutor for potential Oxford and Cambridge applicants. The theory is well balanced with examples and there is plenty for prospective applicants to get there teeth
