I first read this book by jumping about in it to find specific answers, having come across it at a woodland firewood event which was so much more (very good sausage stand). It is so good I have now read it from cover to cover. A quick and informative romp around how plants work and then straight on to easily written, accessible information on home wood heating from someone who obviously knows all about it and has lots of experience. I see there is a book by the same author on electricity from solar and wind power. I'll review it as soon as read.

Nothing else to be said. I love it and recommend buying it.
Great if you want to reduce your long term heating bills.

Pretty amateurish book really. Not a lot of effort has gone into it, certainly not a thesis on the subject. The author is obviously out chopping his wood and not putting effort into creating something worth buying. I know not everyone has access to publishers and editors, but if that's the case a better self critic of ones own work is required. As you can read, I'm not impressed.

I much preferred the "Solar Hot Water " book by LiLi.
That was very comprehensive in my opinion.
Still worth buying though i expected more after the last title impressed so much

A great deal of information packed between its covers- some less rivetting than others, as one might expect, but certainly a great source if one wanted to do 'Mastermind' on domestic combustion.
