The cover and title are definitely misleading if you know nothing about Biba or had high expectations towards the Biba era design. As another reviewer mentioned, it is only a tiny fraction of the book that only contains famous pictures from Sarah Moon, Helmut Newton, Hans Feurer, so nothing a true Biba fan hasn't seen a million times. I'm not too sure why there are no early illustrations or material from personal archives (sketchbook, photos). Maybe because it no longer exists?
However if you are interested in Barbara Hulanicki beyond Biba, this is a fantastic portfolio covering her work from fabric prints to shoes, interior design to costumes with loads of visuals never seen before.
Being a huge fan of the original Biba 'brand' I bought this book with great excitement as it was by Barbara herself, I was disappointed to find that despite the beautifully laid out book there is very little mention of Barbara's work with Biba and only references it on the last few pages.
The book is predominately about her career AFTER Biba, as interesting as this is, if you are looking for reference books about Biba then try another book, I can recommend the book on BIG BIBA or her autobiography 'From A to Biba'
