This book serves two purposes. First it is a history book and it describes the evolution of daito ryu aikijujutsu. It also describes the role of key figures in its development. Secondly it outlines some techniques from daito ryu aikijujutsu in a clear and unambiguous manner. I thouroughly recommend this book to anyone interested in martial arts.
This book was difficult to find but worth the effort, half of it describes the history of daito ryu aikijujutsu and some information on the people who were important in its development. The other half describes and illustrates some techniques. There is some great history in this book describing battles and important events in dramatic detail and the techniques are shown by clear photographs and unambiguous text.
The difficult thing about this book is finding it. A really great book in helping make up one's mind on whether to study Aiki jitsu or not. Also gives the reader confidence in his art, in that the book puts across very well just how an effective this art this is, being tempered in the battle fields of japan. Top Notch.
