Let us pray did more than go beyond explanation of the Lord's prayer. It gave understanding that one needs above all to pray for the will of God to be done and to pray according to that perfect will. If our prayers are not answered in the way we think they should, it may be because we ask amiss. Watchman Nee sheds new light on our inner soul, as we reach out to God in prayer. We no longer cry out, "gimme, gimme". We set aside our wants and ask him by his Spirit to pray through us. We need not only to ask that God's will be done, but believe that as God's will is done, that we have overcome the enemy. The enemy gains nothing when the perfect will of God is accomplished. When our prayers line up with God's perfect will, we are being instrumental in ushering in the Kingdom of God. We set Jesus on his rightful throne, King of kings and Lord of lords. Let our prayer be, "Even so, Lord Jesus, come."

We are so blessed to still be able to read books written by this wonderful man of God; and this book is a great insight to prayer, and wisdom gained by this saint, who suffered so. There is much to learn. I need to read it again.

In short, the role of prayer can be understood as bringing the believer in line with the will of God an as a means for God to co-work with Christian believers. As with all of Watchman Nee's books, there are many deep spiritul truths in this book on prayer.

Here is a guide on how to pray, also gives the prayer person a greater dimension to our prayer life.

The beauty of the book is the fact that it makes one realise that God does answer prayer.

This is a must for the Kindle user, as you can have it all at hand for anytime and anywhere without carrying a hardback book around.
Thank you Amazon for the KIndle.

This is a great book, it is not very long, a booklet really, but after having read in excess of 30 books on prayer I can honestly say that this is by far the best of them all, brilliant.

A very readable book, and makes the case for prayer, which is an often neglected discipline.
