This review does NOT relate to the printed content which was wriiten by Ms Seacole and has no copyright. The font used is far too small to comfortably read even with correct prescription glasses! Amazon have made a huge error here and it could so easily have been sorted! The small font does not fill the page. If it had done so and the few blank pages and parts of pages were filled with a slightly larger text, things would be very different. Come on Amazon and use a bit more intelligence when it comes to printing books! May I quote an article by Patrick Vernon who wrote for the Guardian newspaper, 16th June 2016. 'Rubbishing Mary Seacole is another move to hide the contributions of black people' - 'In February 2004 Mary Seacole was voted by the public as the greatest black Briton of all time. In 2012, as education secretary, Michael Gove tried to remove Seacole from the national curriculum but was headed off by a national campaign, with more than 40,000 people signing a change.org petition in just two weeks and a letter in the Times signed by more than 100 politicians and celebrities including Zadie Smith, Doreen Lawrence, Diane Abbott and the Rev Jesse Jackson.' There are other people around who have maligned the author. Amazon have effectively done the same by using a print font that will not be readable by many.

Mary Seacole is one of those figures of history who doesn't come around that often, in her own words she shows herself to be witty and by all modern account sassy! When buying this book it is key to remember how long ago with was written and therefore how draining the book can sometimes be. However despite this small criticism i would not put anyone off reading the book.
- the writing in the book is very small, almost like reading the instructions off a shampoo bottle. So it may not be the best version to buy if you struggle with your sight.

not read yet due to tiny print on pages, awaiting magnifying glass or new set of eyes

The font size of this book is so tiny that it's virtually unreadable.

This is Mrs Seacole's own account of her life and as such valuable for students or researchers. I recommend it
