This book tells about the pentecostal revival that started in Azusa Street in 1906, a story told by Mr. Bartleman who experienced it himself. He tells about meetings where the atmosphere was so sacred and holy that they didn't even use instruments, and they would rather pray than to sing away the anointing. The people were on their knees all day and night on the mudfloors praying and seeking God ... I believe you will be a better Christian if you read this book, and if you're not a Christian you will see what the Gospel has done to people, and perhaps experience it yourself. God bless you!
A truly anointed book commissioned by the Lord Himself. No need to look anywhere else other than Holy Bible to understand how God works with those who have cast all their fears upon Him - it is indeed the book outside of the Canon which I have learnt most from. A few hints: Consecrate your whole lie to Him. Listen or watch intently to see what He's saying to you. When He speaks, obey. He doesn't ask much else! For Gideon it was smash a few clay pots. Or for the Israelites, walk round Jericho for seven days with seven times on the seventh day. Good examples of doing what He calls us to do in the natural and He does the impossible. Amen. This book is scattered with illustrations like this. Go hear, go there. Preach when He calls to preach. Pray when called to pray. No need to convert anyone! The Holy Spirit does this sovereignly by His power. A call to something more than two hours on Sunday and an evening usually on Wednesday. Enjoy!
