This A5 size hardbacked book was one of my first book purchases on snakes.
93 printed pages describe the keeping , feeding, management, quarantine, feeding, morphology, ecology, and diseases of these non venomous snakes and the author Dr Werner Frank imparts a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
Lavishley illustrated throughout in both colour and black and white with the occasional black and white line drawing thsi is an excellent starter book for someone with an interest in Boas or snakes in general.
There is detailed information on easy to keep and hard to keep snakes with their benefits and problems described in detail. The best temperature ranges, food types, accommodation requirements, distribution in the wild, size, range and breeding hints are all given in an easy to read format. Approx 25 colour photos of various species and probably more black and white photos combine to wet the prospective snake keepers appetite for more!
A good rounded little book. Recommended-Enjoy! Keep the wind in your face and the sun on your back. Bwana Foster.
