Pure toilet paper...... Total waste of money. No insight of any kind. More deadly secrets in a Mr.Men book. Seriously disappointed........

The author of this book is a doctor, and straight away he states that as black magic is magic based on evil, his 'black medicine' is medical science used to kill and incapacitate. This book is his highly detailed scientific study of vulnerable nerves, arteries and bones and how to use them to literaly destroy your opponent.
The contents is different to the normal martial arts book in that it does not feature photographic step by step techniques, but a mixture of anatomical diagrams and a few pictures of the techniques in action. I would therefore advise that this book is more use to an experienced martial artist (as it assumed the reader understands how to attack with power, accuracy and various techniques), and even more specifically more useful to a practitioner of a 'precise' martial art like karate, wing chun and military styles rather than more brutal forms like muay thai and western boxing.

Although the description suggests that it will provide a comprehensive analysis of vital points and how to use them, it most certainly does not accurately do the latter. This is as much use to a fighter, as a photograph of the human body would be to an alien surgeon. Sure, you know the area where stuff exists, but without an explanation of how to interact with the points, the information is useless. Anyone who has used pressure points in their art knows that the location of pressure points is just a part of the equation in producing effect. It's all about angles of attack, and how the attack is delivered. This weak book merely lists a series of anatomical weak points, along with mostly vague suggestions of how to attack them.

If you were ever curious about how those Kung Fu heroes dispatch hordes of assailants with one blow, the Black Medicine series show you how. If you are serious about self-defence, these books show you exactly where to strike but please be aware of the consequences.

Interesting book, can't disagree with its effectiveness. However, a fatal blow + other side being able to demonstrate your prior knowledge of said techniques = life in jail. You may want to order this under a false name!

This is an excellant book if you are interested in serious self defense. It contains many well detailed photographs, and simple to follow techniques which are quick and easy to learn.
This book is recomended for anyone interested in self defense or as a companion to any martial arts discipline.
