This is essential reading for radio amateurs who build their own equipment. While most of the designs in the book are fine, be careful of a few that can be easily improved upon... An example being the circuit of a wide band amplifier on page 2.32, this is easily modified to give a flat response from 1.8 to 50 MHz and at the same time a better input match for 50 Ohms, however the authors seem to have been in a hurry and not tweaked this and a few other circuits for optimum performance.

There are plenty of "hands on" practical designs, you don't need a degree in electronics to appreciate this book.

Overall, these is little to match, let alone better this book.

An excellent publication that fully meets expectations. Written with authority and with the radio amateur/constructor in mind. Well done Wes!

Provided you're pretty fair at math, physics and electronics this bookie is totally brilliant. If you're not, then get up to date and have a real delight!
