Overall this is a lovely book from a gifted writer and preacher. Mgr Knox, had a firm grasp of the english language, and he was also one of those people who could pitch something to a particular audience(evacuated school girls during WWII in this case) without patronising them or others around them. In this collection of sermons he expounds the Church's teaching as found in the Apostles Creed with clarity, brevity and wit. This not an easy task for anyone, especially one trying to preach to school Children, yet he does so and at the same time leaves plenty for the older, modern reader to appreciate as well.
