Lovey images to go along with the smooth writing style. Really helps children to see how mood and feelings effects them. Once finished talking about what make them how them feel similar to the book and these emotions really followed. This book was a steady read, some children may struggle to stay focus for full book in one sitting. Worth a read a pleasant book.
I really wanted a book to promote conversation with my son about his anxieties. As a nine year old he didn't like the illustrations and said they were too scary and made him dizzy. I really liked the story and think it would be a good story to use in classroom setting or nurture groups as conversation opener.
My foster children really enjoyed this book. It put it into perspective for them, that it's ok to have wobbles when feeling sad and missing family. It is also very useful for nurture groups or individuals.
