This book is brilliant; but is unknown. How many evil solicitors and barristers still talk about "custody of children"? How many actually KNOW that the Children Act 1989 REFORMED the LAW relating to children. In 2010 an "advocate" in the Isle of Man said that he had a case in the "principle divorce registry" in London - HE DIDN'T; he had a case in the High Court (Family Division) and part of that case involved children.
Before 14th October 1991 England & Wales did not really have "children's law;" the Law conferred rights on adults (custody and access were rights of adults conferred on them by Court ordure).
This (sort of) book is essential reading for ALL solicitors who claim that they deal with "family law".

We now have LAW FOR CHILDREN; solicitors, barristers and advocates don't need to read ALL OF IT, but they need to be aware of Children - The Modern Law.
