It takes a while to get into this book, but once you can persevere until page 112 you'll get to see a sympathetic picture of King Nebuchadnezzar as a man who is isolated from human society because of his worldwide ambition. This kind of humanises him a bit and makes you realise that we all have the potential to be a monster if our ambition drives us to dark places. Once he learns his lesson he is restored, and it gives us hope that even if we have a selfish ambition there is a road back to recovery for us.
