This is the definitive catalogue of Fornasetti's work with exquisite detail on his pieces. Items are organsied by type - e.g. scarves, furniture, table ware etc.
The detail is immense and there are 2880 illustrations.
This is truly a bible of Fornasetti to be coveted by any Fornasetti lover.
It has certainly deepened my love of his design and has helped me appreciate the immense creativity, style and adaptability of his work.
Each time I flick through the book, I am overwhelmed by the sheer breadth of media and objects Fornasetti turned his hand to.
It makes the book - "Fornasetti- Designer of Dreams" - appear like a poor man's version (though it too illustrated the prolific artist at his best.)
I would love to buy this book as a gift for many people who I know would love it, but unfortunately, the price is prohibitive. It is however beautifully produced and hence the price is probably justified. I now need a Fornasetti coffee table to display it on...
