American play set on the wedding night of a character we never see, this play gives an insight into the five bridesmaids, their connection with the bride and their bonding together over a night spent wearing the same, albeit repulsive, dress.
A range of five roles (one male, shortly performed towards the end) for women, with good diversity, all set in one place (a bedroom within the wedding reception) this play is great for student shows, giving lots of opportunity for character development and dramatic opportunity with no need for scene changes. Some parts are slightly larger than others, but all roles have good depth and there are parts that could be used simply as duologues and monologues.
Well written, a very good piece for dramatic women to show their potential.

Absolutely love this play. It's filled with a very nice humor yet very interesting plot. Read the whole play in like 3 hours. However, not enough options for monologues, but still a good play.

Bought this for my daughter's studies. Can't imagine why it worked as a play, doesn't seem to have a central plot or point to it. Entertaining chat though and funny in places.
