This is a truly brilliant book! I`m looking forward to seeing what my grandson does with it-----it gives plenty of scope for imaginative and original ideas, and provides lots of open-ended suggestions. I would never never buy any child the usual cheap sort of colouring book , where the drawing is done (badly) and the child is merely asked to colour in and complete a poor picture. Children should be encouraged to explore and develop their own ideas, which are always better than any stunted adult mind could produce. But on the days when a child asks 'What shall I draw?', the starter ideas in this book will inspire and afford a great deal of fun. They`re about firing the imagination and broadening choice, as well as stimulating imagination with just enough of a framework but no more. I shall be buying more in this series.
