I keep coming back to this book again and again as I study different aspects of psychology for my counselling degree. It gives a great overview of the different conditions whilst recognising that this is an extremely complex subject and that there is much that we do not know. I like the author's approach, her personal philosophy and also her acknowledgement of the limitations of knowledge generally in this field. As I have become more experienced, I have appreciated the book in greater depth. I would highly recommend this book, particularly to students of counselling/psychotherapy as a solid introductory text.
