If you read the reviews for this book and think you are getting a big, heavy and beautiful version of Audubon's Birds of America, you are wrong.
I ordered this only after reading the rave reviews, believing that a big heavy book would arrive soon after.
Instead I got a tiny little thing, with pictures you can hardly see without using a magnifying glass. No where in the description of this book does it say anything about being a pocket sized edition (except for the "Tiny Folio" label. Since I do not know this series (before now), I assumed from reading the reviews, that this had nothing to do with the actual size of the book - but merely the name of the series.
So why all the rave reviews? Why all the lovely descriptions of a big heavy book that comes with a slip case etc?
Because Amazon uses the Reader reviews for ALL versions of this book! So be extremely careful about which version you actually buy! I'm pretty sure you'd feel cheated spending a 100+ bucks, on a book you could fit in your inside pocket. This book does not do credit to the large color plates of the Audobon Collection.
