This book was fantastic. I am just starting out as a Consultant and it was really good to see where I am aiming to be and have help getting there. The 'what would you have done differently' part of the case studies was really, really useful. I have learnt a lot and would recommend this book to anyone.

Anyone working as a consultant, regardless of their experience, should read this book. Alan Weiss certainly knows his stuff when it comes to consultancy and has utilised his skills and experience to create this easy digestible book. As someone who became a consultant just over a year ago I use it more as a 'how-to' consultancy manual. I finished reading it around a month ago and the investment (of money I paid for the book and time I took to read it) has paid dividends.

If you are thinking about going into consulting, then this might be a good book for you to read. If you're currently providing services as a consultant, then this book is also for you
There are many books available on the subject of consulting and this one is among the best. You'll be challenged and you might find Alan's approach a bit "cocky" at times, but I have used the same approaches over the years to build my own self -confidence and get clients to believe in the expertise I have to offer

Alan Weiss has a great writing style and this book is a must read for practicing consultants. It avoids the classic, how to set up a consulting business basics. Which puts it neatly into the 'how can I grow my practice' genre. It will motivate you to grow your business by adding value for your clients. There are some useful tips and I found myself dipping in for more ideas. It's the only consulting book I have read through. Buy it and get promoted.
