Kiss and Tell of George Harrison and Eric Clapton's ex wife.
on 9 October 2013
Written in collaborations with professional writer Penny Junor, who crafted a plausible story of a young woman from a privileged but troubled early family life. Met George Harrison on a film set, married him and was lavished with gifts by him ( he was always a generous man). In the pop world of the 60's was not happy because of the attention he received from fans and she in fact succumbed to advances from Georges's friend Eric Clapton. She left George for Eric, who at the time was a good guy with drink and drug problems, not so free with his cash as she points out in the book on more than one occasion. But again very generous. One thing comes to mind from the book, Eric's agent at the time bought a house in Eric's name for Patti after they split up Along with a cash settlement. Of course Patti met someone else and after a while needed to do some work on the house so phones up Eric for a £40,000 loan, Eric was not aware he owned the house, so when he found out he just signed the house over to her and wished her well and said enough is enough. I found she came across as a bit of a gold digger.
