A very intereting insight into the man and his motor cars.explains the British motor industry and how it rose and fell mainly because of Morris and Lord.

Slow to start, but soon became engrossing. A book I read as a child in its original hardback form and had not seen since about 1969. Very pleased to see it now available.

William Morris was a visionary with his cars and donated £30,000,000 of his money to start a college in Oxford.
Also gave a lot of his money to research projects.

In today's money it amounts to 5 billion pounds. What a man!

An excellent history of Willam Morris's life and the company he created from leaving school as a teenager through to creating the biggest UK car company. The is the architypal story of a self made man, but also one who was a philanthropist giving much of his wealth away in his life time. We need more industrialists like him today.
