Guy's sense of humour and honesty coupled with his courage and determination lift him above a lot of the personalities in the field of sport.
He acknowledges his peers and gives them respect, and compliments and thanks the people who have supported him. He speaks it as it is
and gives the reader an insight into the world of Motorcycle racing. An enjoyable read.

He don't half go on a about motorbiking, some times he just describes every bump and corner of a circuit.... He has done loads of other stuff which would of been more interesting.... I mean I get his passion for it ....but he is a racer I suppose and racers are boring (quote: Clarkson)

This book was a complete surprise to me because I had an impression of Martin based on his TV appearances, but this book gives all the background to his rise to 'fame'.
Well worth a read if you are a fan.

Great insight into the workings of Guy Martin, if it's ever possible to do that.
His life revolves around working on trucks and motorcycle racing, and anything daring or challenging in-between.
A good read about the Jimmy White of motorcycle racing, so close to wining a TT, but so far away.

A very down to earth biography and as I was reading I could actually hear it being said in his own voice. Parts of it were hilarious and made me die with laughter.

A really interesting character, but the different phases of the book seemed quite repetitive.

I hope he does well and he's had a fair few challenges.
