Almost made to order

We had already decided to travel all around the coast of mainline Britain, visiting as many coastal towns and villages as possible, when I came across this book - serendipity indeed, I wasn't even looking for it. It will certainly be a really useful basis for planning our trips. This week we started on our adventure, although we are going in the reverse direction, and starting at a different point. Oh, and we will be avoiding weekends and will be travelling during the week! So, how useful is it? It does, indeed, provide a great starting point for us, and suggested some places to visit which we might otherwise have missed. It is attractively presented with appealing photography. Inevitably, it is not really detailed enough to be a single resource for planning. The drawn maps are attractive, but perhaps one more detailed map of the coastline, showing some places it doesn't actually discuss would be useful. There are (again, inevitably) some substantial 'gaps' e.g. We do plan to visit at least some of the Lincolnshire coastline.
Overall, this is a most attractive book which is providing us with inspiration for or coastline travels.
