Well detailed and informative book on the Flemish waffen SS. Usual format regarding the books in this four part series, background , comprehensive unit history , the following of a couple of individuals who were representative of the whole and final retribution at wars end. A great read, hard to put down once started.

His writing style is easy read. He has had some
military experience which helps with the How and Why. The Flems were not allowed to join the German Army because they were not Germans. It does seem pretty ironic. The could join the SS Legions and a lot of them did. He explained the hardships of serving on the Russian front. He also explained how at end of war AT weapons were mostly hand held and three Pak 40's might be issued to a whole battalion. Im looking forward to reading more of his books.
