This new edition of 'The Merchant' provides, in addition to the extensive apparatus of notes standard to the Aren editions, an excellent and thorough introduction with many and divers perspectives on the text and its afterlives. Invaluable.

The notes in this version are very detailed and helpful - so I highly recommend this for higher ability students. The text itself is quite small though - so if you like lots of room to make notes/annotations - you may struggle.

This latest three-text edition from Arden is superb. It is the result of many years academic work since the previous, second series: accordingly the introductory material is about as complete as it could be and the "final" text has the fullest annotation possible. This is the new standard "Hamlet". Be warned, though, that you might be tempted to buy the companion volume of the other quartos, well worth having.

Quick delivery. Item in excellent condition. Would highly recommend this seller!

Well, Hamlet is Hamlet! and this version gives delicious food-for-thought. Just make sure you're famished, becasuse it's a substantial four-course meal that will take you some time to digest; unless, of course, you're already "obese" with knowledge! Happy reading!

Admittedly I am not a fan of plays written in book form, but this book was a necessary purchase for my school work. Overall, the layout and quality of the item is exactly as expected. Collectors should invest some more money on a hardback edition but laid back readers would really enjoy this edition.

A clear, understandable, low cost edition. Liked the notes and glossary. All a help to understanding the elegant English. Still studying soliloquy " To be or not to be" Did it at school (long ago). Have seen play (King's ; Glasgow,Ian M'Kellan) also a long time ago. Saw the latest filmed release from National Theatre (Benedict Cumberbatch) and have re-read a school edition at some point in the past. I have never been disappointed with any of Wordsworth Classic editions i.e. Burns, Kipling etc. Hester Howie
