Still one of the best works in Hockey training by one of the best trainers in the biz. I picked up Peter Twist's original version of this book, which he wrote in the early 90s. I was impressed with that book and this book advances the topic of proper off-ice and on-ice training for complete hockey conditioning.
The addition of the DVD brings the book to life and also makes it more of a modern teaching tool than the humble book on its own. Even with the wealth of information on the internet these days this book added a lot to my knowledge and understanding of how to train for on-ice excellence.

I would recomend this to anyone who has a desire to improve their knowledge of what it takes to condition yourself for hockey. it is by far the most comprehensive book on the subject that is available in the uk. it can be a bit complicated at times but that is due to the diverse nature of the sport. it covers conditioning from all angles on/off ice drill, weight regimes and excellent pictures to demonstate correct form. it is a must have for genuine "hockey people"
