Nothing new here - may work for some people
on 18 January 2001
Having successfully quitted smoking after reading Allen Carr's 'EasyWay' I became a big fan of his and decided to give this book a try. However I think Allen should stick to what he knows best, i.e. helping people to quit smoking (or any drug addiction). 'Easy Way to Enjoy Flying' should be just about that i.e. 'How to enjoy flying' and get over those irrational fears. However Allen can't resist but mention smoking half the time throughout the book and one can't but feel that it is a rather amateurish attempt to twist his method on how to stop smoking to how to enjoy flying. Personally his method for helping to quit a drug addiction doesn't quite stick when it comes to trying to persuade people not to fear flying, I think they are two totally different problems that require a different approach. However, if persuasion is all that you need the book does contain all of the facts about how safe flying is that we all really know in the first place without the need to read his book. No new facts presented really, but the fact that you may see all of them together in writing may be enough to allay your fears of flying.
