I bought this book after watching the documentary 'The Artist is Present' which is an amazing portray of Marina Abramovics work and the ideas and symbology that go into her performance pieces. I was completely blow away by the documentary, I have never really liked performance art however after scouring Netflix for something interesting to watch came upon this. Marina Ambramovic connection to the human spirit and life is beautiful and the work she creates is truly astounding. This book is a great read for anyone interested contemporary art or looking to broaden their knowledge in another area, full of insight and stills from previous performances. I would recommend you watch the documentary first as you get a really good understanding of her work.
