This is a brief and none the less comprehensive introduction to the work and life of Edgar Degas.
There is first a biography of the artist (pp. 5-25), illustrasted with 9 black-and-white figures. Then an outline biography (p. 26), A select bibliography (p. 28), The List of all illustrations in the book (pp. 29-31) Then, 48 colour plates with individual explanations and, very often, comparative figures.
It is a good book overall.
Just a little drawback is that sometimes individual explanations are set up in landscape format, with the text on the side, when the picture is also on the side.
