Sadly this book is a few years out of date now and although it is still pretty interesting some of the information may be a little out of date therefore. A book such as this needs regular updates and possibly it would be better to give a general guide to football in each country and then some detail about specific clubs. This would be of help to people, like me, who are just as keen to watch lower league football abroad; it's not all about the big teams even if the Premier League and Champions League would like you to think it is! It seemed a waste to have details about English clubs included in an English language book although is it for the benefit of the Welsh, Scottish and Irish?
The book covers most (but not all) of European stadiums where UEFA matches are likely to be played. The book's jacket says "this fabulous guide to the most famous and impressive of all European stadia" the definition of "most famous" is open to interpretation and I therefore feel that the book should not be considered as comprehensive. It does provides reasonable travel information however a link with the venue's city guide for places to stay/eat would prove useful. The author explains how to arrive at the stadium by public transport and also how to obtain a ticket. The photographs give an indication of the stadium's design but no stadium seating plans etc.
