if you are into this genre of book then this is a must. I've numerous books on the psychology of SK's and this does not disappoint. To give an insight into the minds of criminals is fascinating and this book is takes you there

As someone with a great interest in the subject matter of this book; I have read a lot of books on the topic. Most of these have been sensationalised rubbish, with more emphasis on the gory details than on any amount of psychological insight. Not only was this book focused solely on the psychological side, with frequent statistical inputs and explanations on every page, but the references used were invaluable. Hundreds of psychological studies are quoted, referenced and analysed in this book, making it a treasure to anyone with an interest in murderers which runs deeper than seeing who could "slash them best". I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested; whether it be for educational, career or personal reasons. I myself am an A Level student hoping to pursue a career in forensic psychology one day, and found the book the best I've read yet.
