Poor quality for an O'Reilly publication
on 30 November 2011
Once upon a time one simply bought a book because it was published by O'Reilly and the book became known in the industrry by the techies by the animal on the cover.
How, sadly, those times have past.
This book is full of padding, drivel and condescending comments from the so-called experts.
I had read this book expecting something of real value and worth and, well, it's not. What is here could be written in about one tenth of the volume of the text; just how O'Reilly books were written.
To be honest, there is nothing in this book which one couldn't have determined from reading a couple of forums and to a couple of people who know what they are doing. I am sorry to say that there is nothing much to learn from this book for those armed with just a handful of facts.
A sad, sad case of Emperor's New Clothes, I am afraid.
