Having just read two dud kindle reads in a row I wasn't expecting too much from this book, but I loved it!

Nice angle having an actor who had been a spy recruiting his sons into helping him to find a mole who had been a KGB spy on a pirate radio ship in the 1960s. Now the words "spy", "pirate radio ship" and "1960s" got me interested!

Yes, there were a few holes in the story but it rollocked along at a fast enough pace and with enough detail to keep me interested!

This was an impulse buy as I'd recently read another of the author's books and enjoyed it. I absolutely loved this one - it was a great read from start to finish. Lots of fascinating facts about London and the underground world of tunnels that runs beneath the capital - really well researched and beautifully written. If you like a spy/thriller then this is a must read - it was excellent!

I nearly put this book down after the first few chapters, but carried on reading. It got a little better but found it too long-winded and quite boring giving the names and routes of various existing and old underground routes. I did finish it as I don't like to leave a book without finishing.

This book really didn't grab me at all. It's long winded and over-detailed (the routes followed by some of the characters across London may be accurate, but make a lousy story). It's unwise to relate the plot to 1960s tv spy stories; in those the characters were badly developed and the sets pretty shaky - and that sums up this one for me.

Good story line once you get into the book but too much to and fro at the beginning. I almost gave up. Could have been condensed to half the number of chapters.

Intriguing and well-crafted spy story, which pulls together the past and the present. It looks a bit disjointed, until everything comes together and makes sense! The denouement is exceptionally well managed.

Keeps you guessing until the end, very cleverly written (minus a couple of typos that seem to have escaped the editors attention!) all in all a very enjoyable holiday read, devoured it in a day!

Another fast paced story from Winona Kent. She never fails to deliver a great novel that keeps you turning the pages.

Excellent writing, suspense but realism all the way. Can't wait to read another instalment. Great to involve the family in such a way.
