This book will please Formula1 anoraks for the endless and sometimes mind numbing detail of Mr Ecclestone's latter involvement with F1, but the early years of his life and subsequent domination of F1 are the most interesting. After those early years I found the book to be tedious. Once Mr Eccclestone is established as a ruthless and rather sad man, it all gets a bit boring.

Tom Bower writes well and is practised at biographies, delivering something more polished and readable than many F1 autobios. And probably more even handed. The remarkable rise and unique style of BE, alongside his mercurial highly sophisticated primitivism. Very readable.

Not a bad read but some of the sporting issues wrong / glossed over so is the rest accurate?

The hubby loves it - he's taking his time to read it but really enjoys the journey of his life. Would recommend as a gift for F1 lovers

It reads like a story rather than an autobiography. Seems very short on facts. Not enjoying it at all

I am an avid biography fan and usually buy in hardback - as they are often revisited or loaned out.
In this case it is an interesting read but not one I would not revisit.
