Some moments of beauty and depth in the early years (on the decline of the oracles) but the language and quality of the english can't disguise the mediocrity of life and depressively over-critical self-destruction summed up in 'stillborn' which is the highpoint of a steady decline towards her suicide. Read in order it represents a blossoming poet learning her art followed by a three year suicide note that no-one bothered to heed or understand. If you ever wanted to know what suicidal depression is like read this brilliant, talented individuals path to self-murder. She was still a better poet than many. Such a tragedy that she hated her life and self so much at a mere 30 years old. I didn't enjoy reading it because she so eloquently describes depression from the depressed persons perspective. the smiths will never ever sound this depressing.
