What happened to passion and romance?
on 10 August 2001
This is by far the most passionate of all the Sayers Wimsey novels and the adaptation almost completely ignored this aspect of the story. The characterisation was good but the development of the relationship between the principal charactors almost totally ignored with the ending lacking the power of the original. Even so I prefer the intrepretion of Harriet in this adaptation to the interpretation in Have His carcase and for that reason alone gave 3*
