Seller and book review
on 3 March 2017
This book was classified as "very good - limited signs of wear on the cover", however the cover on the book has a crease right across the front of it, definitely noticeable. The pages are also yellowed quite a bit, which I know is an inevitability with paperbacks I understand, but I wish I had known about it in advance. I am removing one star, as it had more wear than was implied by the seller. However overall I am not fussy so I am happy that the shipping was quick and I am able to start reading, but be advised when buying from this seller that they may understate any damages to the book.
Onto the book itself: This is one of my all time favorites, I actually bought it before as a first edition but of course, the friend I lent it to misplaced it. I ordered this because I was dying to read it again. Witty, sharp fantasy book about norse gods and implied romance that is just the PERFECT book without overstating anything. Really makes you fall in love with the characters, it is in my opinion Joanne Harris' greatest work. Subtle and understated tensions between all the characters, she really makes you FEEL their relationships rather than having to blatantly state them. Subtle and witty, sharp and sarcastic, but endearing and exciting. This FABULOUS book is a must-read for fantasy lovers and lovers of caustic wit! 10/10.
