Providing true moments of manic joy, and profundity that shatters dimensional dust covers. This one is a pleasure from beginning to end. If imagination IS 'where the falling angel meets the rising ape', Mr Pratchett has unloaded a dump truck full on some hapless ape in the process of spelling evolution.

If you read this, you don't need to read this.

And it will explain Hognight to you too.

an excellent book. I implore you to read "mort" first as it is the first book in the pseudo series of "death novels" and one of the best books written by Pratchett.

Brilliant. Not all of his books are, most but not all, but this one is definitely in the top 10. Especially like THE DEATH OF RATS

It is so funny. It's not slow burning at all. It is a delight to read again and again. I recommend this book and if you've not done so, read all the books in order. June next I think!

A typical, wonderful Pratchett. Full of the usual hidden quirks and tiny pieces of delightful silliness you could miss if you're not careful.

Another great story from Terry Pratchett with the usual moral and insightful comedy. The characters are well constructed. A great read.

A relative loves Terry Pratchett and this was the only books of his she didn't own (due to her son trying to flush her original copy a few years back) She was so chuffed that I remembered and now her collection is complete!
