Visiting a city the size of New York with a camera is always a daunting prospect as it is, of course, impossible to do justice to it, photographically, in a week. This little guide book helps a lot in selecting some of the "not to miss" locations and giving some tips about how and when to take photographs. No respectable photographer would ever follow this type of guidance slavishly but it is useful to have "starting points" for personal exploration.
My first visit to New York, I wanted to make the most of every photographic opportunity. So much to see in such a short time, where to start? where best to take those iconic shots?. This book was a fantastic companion both in planning and during my visit. Highly recommended.
This book is very informative, bigger than I thought, 293 pages telling you everything you need to know about photographing New Yorks 28 most interesting sights, where, when, and the best setting to use. I look forward to returning with much improved photos.
