After reading the first book in the series, Playing With Fire, i just had to buy the second after the cliffhanger of an ending in the first and i really enjoyed it.
I recommend anyone who has bought the first to buy this one too.
Will definitely be buying Me and My Shadow, the third in the series just to see how everything works out.

While this second book didn't grab me like the first one did, it was still enjoyable. May's life is way more screwed up than Aisling's ever was - it's kinda fun to see what MacAlister can come up with :)
She ends up being Magoth's consort in order to get out of Abbadon and back to Gabriel, along with Magoth whose powers are minimal in our world, but Magoth is just a side plot that doesn't pop up again until the very end. The real story here is about the dragon heart shards that are housed in phylacteries and the mysterious and powerful dragon who can find May in the Shadow World. It's densely plotted for a paranormal romance, it's dark, it's turbulent, it's steamy, and I love May.

If you loved the first book, you have got to read this. Full of zainy characters, some of whom you will be forgiven for wanting to throttle. HEY! NO ONES PERFECT...
May has to deal with: A Naiad twin with more courage than common sense. A demon lord consort complete with his own penis curse, (the less said about that the better). A demon apprentice with a love of pink and face masks that borders on obsession. Sixth level demon come Newfoundland Jim, who's lude, crude and attitude to know. And last and definitely least- Kostya. Dont get him started on black dragon honour. We'll haven't got all day.
But throughout it all May has support in a much loved and steamy silver dragon, and best friend Aisling. What can go wrong? And that's not a challege - Fate. Romance, action and lots of humour. What a book. Definitley recommend!
