It is useful, I personally think it worth what I paid for the book. I Will recommend to anyone who wants to do the test.

You will need a better textbook to pass part 1 (particularly anatomy), the college one is best (dark red cover).

A comprehensive textbook covering all the aspects of the MRCOG part 1 exams. A good investment.

I won't lie, this book is pretty dry, but then so is the exam material. A very small portion of the genetics section is actually wrong, but not so much as you'd notice unless you're a massive pedant (sorry). It may need updating in light of the future changes to the exam coming into play in March 2012, but for now provides a decent broad base for answering the majority of questions. Obviously, get your anatomy from an atlas, not a section of a revision book.
