Wow this author has a gift for making you laugh and smile. I mean isnt it every womans dream to be stranded on a desert island with a ggod looking a guy. Genevieve Terrence however was planning on being in a hotel room with the other guy that was on the plane. The good looking guy and not the geek she ended up with. But the other guy Nick Brogan Turned out to be a crimal and ditched her and the Geek in the office Jackson Farley. As luck would have it Jack new a little about flying planes with so much time spent playing simulators.
Jack is now a hero in Genevieve's eyes and having lusted after for months couldnt be happier about being stranded on adersert island of with her. But have they really seen the last of nick Brogan.
VLT has a great way of making her chracters just that bit different than most. You would never have thoughtthat a geek and a beauty who lost her viginity at thirteen when she lived in the backwoods would have anying chance or would even meet. This is a fun a sassy book just the right thing to take to the beach with you.

Having only recently stumbled across Vicki Lewis Thompson I was pleasantly suprised with this book. I have to admit the slightly cheesy cover put me off at first but I'm glad I bought it (and the three other 'nerd' books so far published - although they don't seem to be a series).
Gen & Jack are fantastic characters, so well drawn I got totally engrossed and read the book in 3 hours today. The chemistry is sizzling and the setting ideal. Of course the obligatory bad-guy is suitably sent packing but even the predicably happy sub-plot was well done. I'm certainly looking forward to starting on her next book tomorrow.

Nerd in Shining Armour, Vicki Lewis Thompson's first book in the Nerd series, is set in Hawaii. Jackson Farley finds himself the third wheel on a plane trip to Maui when his boss Nick Brogan takes one of the firm's secretaries, Genevieve Terrence, for a meeting and an overnight stay. At least, that's what the plan was. But apparently Nick had other ideas, and suddenly Jackson finds himself trying to land a plane in the ocean near a tiny island. Meanwhile, Genevieve's mother, Annabelle, is convinced something has gone wrong and enlists Nick's business partner Matt Murphy to search for her daughter by sea. Jackson manages to be Genevieve's Nerd in Shining Armour when they are wrecked on the island. Plenty of humour, some intrigue and quite a bit of hot sex. If it moved just a bit faster it would be perfect.
