This 96-page book contains a series of revolting (but generally safe) experiments with food to entertain children and younger-minded adults - all in the name of science and education.

The book is divided into seven sections, each with three or four experiments, and a concluding quiz. Each section addresses a different area of food - starters, vegetables, sweets, liquids & ice, bubbles, and clearing-up.

The book is excellently illustrated with humorous cartoony illustrations and instructions on almost every page, and many experiments come with warnings whether the result can or can’t be fed to a dog or a cat (who are frequently illustrated). You can read this for entertainment without even going near a kitchen with it!

When my class were working on the topic 'Kitchen Magic', they became instant readers - trying to find other experiments we could do in class or at home. One young lady found this book and came into class daily to share a different experiment. She loved it.
