A pretty good book - covering almost all the stats tables you'll need to do a degree in maths/stats/engineering etc. Also includes a description of how the tables were calculated, and some of the key formulae. Perhaps the best bit is the preface - which can provide a good distraction in a tricky exam!
..Not really. It does what it says on the tin - there's lots of tables of, well statistics actually. Can't be doing without it... Perhaps they could make it more interesting by throwing in the odd picture!! Actually, some more examples and explnation of the distributions would help a bit and would have got this product a 5 instead of just a 4.
Not exactly a cracking read, but, as others have observed, does exactly what it says on the tin, I used it for an MSc in Applied Statistics, and it covered most, but not all, of the statistical tables I needed. The odd one that isn't in there can generally be found on the internet, but this is great for a quick reference.
It's hard to find the old version of the stats tables nowadays so I ordered one of these for my friend. It has the same size but the new look is more attractive. Haven't investigated the inside but guess that it has the same contents as the old. My other friends that are using the old version now wants to switch to the new. :-P
